Devastated at the news of Gene's death. Have fond memories of seeing him in the 60's in England. Thankfully we still have his music to enjoy.

I will never forget such Gene's songs as: The Man WHo Shot Liberty Valance, 24 Hours from Tulsa, Mecca and Boss's Daughter. I can listen to them all the time. I am very sorry to hear he has gone. He will be remembered.

As longtime president of the Bobby Rydell Fan Club I must tip my hat to Gene Pitney. He stood out as a mamouth talent in my mind. I saw him perform often with the Dick Clark Caravan of Stars and his performances took my breath away. I will never forget him. Thanks for some wonderful songs I will never forget.

So very saddened to hear of Gene's passing. Only saw him at Birmingham Symphoney Hall on the 2nd April, 2006. He was brilliant as ever. Followed him for years. My condolensces go to you, the family. He had a most unique voice. Also, he came across as a very unpretentious man. He had many fans here in the U.K.
