Hi Russ, just read your Book, it's great,got a copy from our mutual friends Dave & Joy Taberer. Linda and I met at the 'Cali' and we have now been married 40 years (you have a lot to answer for !!) Do you remember the pub down the road from the 'Cali' ? it was called 'the Windsock' (sadly gone too,under the housing estate). Did you ever play at the 'Top Rank Suite' in Watford ? which was another of our regular dance venues. And do you remember a group called 'Gene and the Cossacks' who were around about the same time as you ? LONG LIVE 'LIVE' MUSIC ! 'Disco's are a poor substitute'.

Hi Russ, Its been a long time since I last saw you. You wont remember me but I used to deliver milk to the Russana Restaurant back in the early 70s. I and my wife currently live in New Zealand. But still recieve the Hayling islander . yes even at 64 I still go to RnRoll Dances. Good luck with your Book .it should make for great reading. You probably don't remember but we met briefly at Chippenham a few years back when I mistook you for Licorice Locking.

Your book sounds interesting. I go right back to the Two I's myself as in '57 I used to pop in there now and then.

I saw you & The NuNotes @ Butlins , Bognor Regis in 1960. ( Eric Winston Orch. & The Brooks Bros. were in the main room, but us teenagers gravitated to the room where you were playing most nights !) I was on holiday with the guitar player from my band ( Mike Tobin & The Magnettes from Bristol) Tony Dodd & he was well impressed with Rhet Stoller!
