The following information came in from Dave Douglas "Hiya, regarding the so called Gene Pitney gig. We (DD @ the Vistas) did work for Roy Tempest occasionally and as far as my memory goes the only band I recognise at the Pitney gig is Bern Elliott and the Fenmen. Tempest did have a habit of 'over advertising/stating his groups/gigs'. regards. Dave I've also spoken to someone who knew Gene well and he's certain the Gene didn't do the tour due to a disagreement with Tempest.
